Abstract:
Addressing the challenges of reducing hidden nodes and contention collisions in massive IoT connection scenarios to improve per-node throughput is critical for HaLow applications. This paper proposes an Enhanced Restricted Access Window (E-RAW) grouping method based on IEEE 802.11ah technical features, incorporating channel fading and throughput models. The mechanism grouped nodes by signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) under the RAW framework, followed by secondary verification to eliminate intra-group hidden nodes. Simulation results demonstrate approximately about 40% total network throughput improvement and over 20% reduction in hidden terminals compared to baseline methods.
