Abstract
Aimed at the problem of carrier synchronization difficulty caused by high dynamic range of load and low signal-to-noise ratio of received signal in satellite communication system, an improved frequency domain shifted average periodogram algorithm is proposed by analyzing the influence of frequency offset change rate on the frequency offset estimation process. By adding a secondary estimation process after frequency offset correction to the carrier frequency offset estimation process, the proposed algorithm improved the carrier frequency offset estimation accuracy and acquisition performance. The simulation results show that, under the same post-level accuracy and simulation conditions, compared with other two periodogram algorithms, this algorithm's improvement on acquisition probability can reach above 33%.
