ANALYSIS OF LATERAL FORCES ON AIRCRAFT NOSE LANDING GEAR BASED ON ADAMS SIMULATION

  • Towbarless aircraft tractors lift the front landing gear by directly clamping the aircraft front wheels and holding them up. The study of the forces of the clamping lift on the front landing gear wheels and the lateral forces on the front landing gear during the overall turn of the tractor and the aircraft is limited. To address these issues, Adams was used to model the dynamics of the clamping lift and the front landing gear and to analyze the simulation results. The simulation results show that during the turning process, the load on the inner and outer wheels changes, resulting in a change in the force, and the load transfer is less influenced by the turning radius and turning speed; at the same time, in order to counteract the centrifugal force, the force of the clamping device on the wheels is transferred to the front landing gear hinge, resulting in a large lateral force. The lateral forces need to be monitored to ensure that they are within a certain range in order to ensure the safety of the system.
