AN APPROACH FOR TRUSTED EVIDENCE STORAGE OF ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD ACCESS BASED ON CONSORTIUM BLOCKCHAIN

  • To solve the problem of trust in electronic medical records in cross-hospital visits of patients and to promote the interoperability of electronic medical records among hospitals, a trustworthy evidence storage method for electronic medical records is proposed based on cryptography, consortium blockchain and distributed planetary file system using the characteristics of blockchain as tamper-evident, authenticity and decentralization. The electronic medical record was guaranteed to be trustworthy by using the electronic medical record hash value as the real credential. Moreover, patients themselves participated in the scheduling process to achieve user controllability of electronic medical records. The experimental results show that the method improves the trustworthiness of electronic medical record sharing across hospitals, effectively realizes user controllability, and proves the feasibility of the method in terms of efficiency.
